After the abundance of wind in Torbole on the opening day of the RRD One Hour Classic, in which they managed to compete both the fin slalom version, that foil with the net breaking of the record, Saturday the hour of Garda Trentino blew with less intensity, allowing the dispute of the second session of the foil version only, but it was still great show. The record holder conquered in the 2021 Bruno Martini, athlete of the Circolo Surf Torbole who also regatta in the World Cup, he started immediately strong, gradually accumulating advantage over the pursuers, the Croatian Enrico Marotti and the Italian Matteo Iachino.

Martini, which today encountered much less wind than on Friday, although he could not beat the record set just yesterday by the Dutchman Vonk, amazed by the muscular resistance of the last three sides, made before the end of the hour, since the tops of the trapezoid were broken and he had to continue with his arms, supporting a traction with open arms, which is usually discharged from its own weight thanks to the use of the trapezoid. Bruno Martini did not give up and crossed the finish line with sore forearms, but satisfied with the performance, which, however, allowed him to improve his record of the 2021.

Behind him the Croatian and teammate Marotti and the Italian Matteo Iachino, second and third respectively. In the afternoon we tried a fin slalom start, but the wind often under the 10 knots along the path placed on one side and the other of the lake (one buoy at the Conca d'Oro and the other under the Ponale) forced the Race Committee to cancel the race shortly after the start. The RRD One Hour Classic, organized by 1989 by Circolo Surf Torbole in collaboration with AICW and FIV, for some years it has been combined with the Trophy in memory of Alberto Menegatti, also remembered in the morning with an exciting video projected on the LED wall, in the presence of mother and sister.

The RRD One Hour Classic, which will end on Sunday, takes into account the best performance obtained by each athlete among all the races held. The track of the regatta also this year is also made with GPS through the Metasail application, that allows you to control the turning points of the athletes and record the speeds of each participant: in today's race the fastest was the Dutchman Vonk, (the athlete who broke the foil record on Friday), scoring at 13:49 32,64 knots as maximum speed (today sixth).

Second maximum tip of the French Guiraud, with 32,15 nodes, seventh in the standings of the day. Sunday last session of the "marathon" of windsurfing that for an hour sees beyond 100 regattas turn between one bank and the other of the Alto Garda in a race on the water, that does not lose enamel, in spite of his 23 years and the continuous technical evolution of windsurfing, which for this reason is bringing new frontiers in terms of records, especially in the new foil discipline. And the extraordinary thing about the regatta is that together with the World Cup champions they also start very young people at their first slalom regatta, as in the case of the Veronese Anna Ticcinelli, sixteen years and a lot, so much passion.
