05/09/2020 – At the Torbole Surf Circle’ I conclude the second day of the ITALIAN ASSOLUTO FOIL CAMPIOnate organized by the AICW 4 to the 6 September.

Matthew Spanu (Tabou, GA Sails, Al360, MaverX, Lions Fit Clyb Asd, Moses Hidro Foil, Crai, New):

“The races today started at 8:30 when they sent us into the water with the Peler to do 2 slalom scoreboards for men and four slalom boards for girls.

From the two initial batteries, the winning finals and the losing finals were then selected. Then they made us make four boards course.

After the first two scoreboards the athletes put pressure on the regatta committee because’ the path was adjusted as the wind dropped too much on some buoys.

For athletes enrolled in both disciplines and’ been quite challenging.”

In the course leaderboard, after two scraps, Matteo Iachino still excels (Starboard, Severne Sails, Citroën, Xcel, TWS, Shamal Sunglasses, Starboard Foil) followed by Riccardo Renna (Duotone, Fanatic) and Nicolo’ Reindeer (Fanatic, GA), first U20. (Click on chart to enlarge)

First among women marta Maggetti (Starboard, Severne), 17th overall, second Giorgia Special (Fanatic, Severne), third Sofia Reindeer (Fanatic, Severne).
