Dieter Van der Eyken (Severne) releases his new video about his releases in the summer 2020:
“Tenerife has spoiled us this year with some of the best conditions I've had since I moved to the Canary Islands more than 2 years ago.
After a lockdown of 50 days due to Covid-19 (where we lost only a day of wind and waves) nature offered us a summer full of wind and waves keeping calm when no one could sail. Back in the water after 50 days was just amazing!
With almost good conditions to be 4 a 5 days per week, we were able to spend a lot of time in the water last summer. As always one day was better than the other, but having such a constant amount of conditions made it a summer to remember. Many European windsurfers arrived in the summer to enjoy the normal trade winds. Then, although this year traveling was harder, it was nice to still see many familiar faces on the water and feel that everyone was enjoying their time in the water after a difficult start to the year.
Another winter is in front of the door and the journey to the islands is still possible, with regular winds coming back from mid-December it looks like we'll have a lot more time to spend in the water.
Come to Tenerife and if you want to step up your game in the waves or become wave riders, take a look at my master classes in collaboration with the Surf Hub Tenerife!
Thank you all for filming during the summer, until another great winter!
Thanks to Severne Windsurfing for the support!”.
