The Loftsails Purelip has long since entered the list of iconic sails. Monty Spindler's unmistakable touch has accompanied the development of this excellent wave wing for more than twenty years. Spindler managed to find, over time, squaring the circle, developing and improving a project that had proved right from its very beginning. The Purelip is presented for the 2021 with a particularly lively and unmistakable aesthetic robe. There are two colors available: fuchsia and green, both paired with black and white details. As mentioned above, Monty Spindler doesn't like to turn his creations upside down from year to year, but it merely changes and improves the sails where it deems it necessary to do so. Also in the case of Purelip 2021 this policy is being followed, small tweaks that, however, serve to make a sail even more efficient able to express itself in very different conditions.
In fact, purelip is able to juggle well in bump and jump conditions, side and on shore. It is precisely for this reason that it is proposed in a very wide range of measures: from 3.0 meters up to the 6.2 meters, so as to satisfy wave riders of all kinds. Going into detail, the Purelip 2021 shows faster and more compact, by virtue of a higher aspect ratio. The increase in the shaft size is offset by a closed shaft head, to replace the plug solution, used until last year. The balumina presents a new cut, more extensive up to the third splop, in such a way as to ensure a more responsive and at the same time more manageable power, especially during wave riding transitions.
La vela, as per Loftsails tradition, it's excellently built and finished, with attention and obsessive attention to detail. At the head of the tree two panels in dacron facilitate durability, resistance and ease of rolling. Advanced profile splints calibrated in their right position, guarantee an excellent gliding start and better management of the sail in over-unveiled conditions. The sail body is entirely made of X-Ply of different weights, depending on the increased resistance required. Two ashlar eyelets allow you to best adapt the sail, depending on the wind conditions. Definitely, with these characteristics, the new Purelip will again this year be able to satisfy the most demanding enthusiasts, confirming its excellent qualities of world wave sail.
