SUMMER BEGINS WITH LITTLE WIND

Summer has arrived 2022 friends of RIWMAG and METEOEVENTI, but now we are used to it. High temperatures and scarcity of wind have been with us for a while now and even next weekend the trend will continue to be the same.
In fact, the dominance of North African high pressure will continue to characterize the weather scenario of the approaching weekend. Although less robust and bad than last week, the high pressure will again characterize the two days of Saturday and Sunday with wind purely linked to the typical thermals of the Italian coasts.

SATURDAY

center all entrusted to thermals, little favored on the coasts of Lazio, Abruzzo and Molise due to persistent cloud cover until the afternoon.

south Adriatic side: the Apulian coasts of the Gargano will benefit from a ventilation from the Northwest on the 15/18 knots that in the morning will also affect the coasts of Bari, but they will undergo an attenuation then in the afternoon;
Ionic side: here too the thermals will be the masters. Greater possibilities between Crotonese and Cosentino for a tendency to a Scirocco ventilation on the 12/15 knots in the afternoon.
The spots overlooking the Strait of Messina will see the typical ventilation from the North of intensity on the 15/18 nodes;
Tyrrhenian side: nothing to report if not weak thermal ventilation with daytime evolution.

SUNDAY

north little wind on the coasts of northern Italy, only the thermals will be able to give moments of wind on the spots most prone to such ventilation.

south the South will fully return to the day of heat and scarcity of wind due to high pressure.

islands Sardinia: the only Italian region that will be saved from the lack of wind will be Sardinia and in particular the coasts to the north and south of the island that will see levante winds on average on the 18/20 nodes, but with greater intensity on the spots overlooking the Strait of Bonifacio.
