A.P.: Bene e male.
Sto guadagno in forza, fiato e motivazione. È difficile. E ‘doloroso.
Sarà in Full HD. ITunes, DVD e Blu Ray. Prezzo medio, grande azione, immagini e fatti interessanti.
A.P.: Si combinano penso.

A touching interview which got more sensitive than forecasted: in the windsurf world his name does not need introductions. The recent news about his new video project got as opportunity for a new interview with this German rider who is driving his windsurf experience to new limits out of the sport: Andre Paskowski. (first part, here the second one)
RIW: Hi Andre, thank you very much for having accepted our invitation and sharing a bit of you with our readers. First of all, how are you?
A.P.: Good and Bad. Depends how you look at it. The Bad side is that my health is getting even worse and it looks like the Cancer is unstoppable. The Good Side: I fall in Love. My Girlfriend is super nice and she helps me so great in all situations. It feels like a dream and I am super happy. Without her who knows what happen to me. So i must say besides pain, operations and chemo I am really happy.
RIW: Since the beginning you decided to share publically the news about your cancer. Where are you now about that?
A.P.: I am in Hamburg. I had a quite serious Situation 3 weeks ago. I started to bleed internally and i had a very urgent emergency operation. Now i try to get back were i was before. Gain power, air and motivation. It is difficult. It is painful. But i want to travel around the world with my girlfriend. That’s our goal and I can’t give up and not reach the goal. I will train and do all possible Treatments to allow me a wonderful time with my girlfriend.
RIW: On facebook you announced your new project entitled “below the surface”. What is it about and why this title?
A.P.: It is our new Movie. It will be in Full HD. Itunes, DVD and Blue Ray. Medium Price, Great Action, Picture and Interesting Facts. Main Star is Victor. His life, his Past, his Passion but we have 4 other great Riders in addition: Gollito, Marcilio, Klaas and Alessio. People who saw my movies – know that I look for special Images. Below the Surface is the next Step of our Filmmaking.
RIW: To us looks like that your movie making is going to evolve. At the beginning there was almost exclusively windsurf action. In your last 2 movies about yourself and Gollito beside the sport action you wanted to reveal some humanity and real life pieces. Is this new project following still this direction?
A.P.: It will combine thinks. We will have great great Images and Action. Each pictures will make you want to go sailing but with Victor we also have a great life and sports career.
RIW: There are exceptions but often action sports movies are mostly focused on tech and moves. The main characters are shown as heroes investing all their own capabilities just in the sport. By your work you are trying to add some value about the athletes more as persons. Are these two ways having different audiences? Who is your target audience?
A.P.: Our Target Audience is a core Windsurfer. We try to make each Movie beautiful enough, that people without Windsurf Background can enjoy it. I can sit in my Sofa with Non Windsurf Friends and watch Four Dimensions or Minds Wide Open. Because you see great Images all the time. But mainly I want to core Windsurfer to say “WOW”. That’s my Target.
I see commercials of Windsurfers nowadays were the main Target is to reach as much people as possible. Tricky. It might please a 70year old grandma who plays halma all day. But it won’t please the core group. For my account it might be better to do a Movie for Mass Market. But I want that the people care for my movie. A friend of me Sailed around an island on a freeride board. He reached 200 Mio People on national TV and got tons of money from a Sponsor. Great success. But who cares. None of the 200Mio people looked that twice or cared of what they watch.
One person buying Four Dimensions. He cares. He waits the DVD, he puts it in, he sits back and eats Chips he loves and likes. He download Songs on Put on IPod. That’s what matters. That’s the Target.
